Best Places to Work in Construction and Surrounding Industries 2020

Glassdoor.com, a site dedicated to researching jobs, salary information, company reviews, and general employment information, has released its annual top 100 employers based on employee feedback. Only a couple of companies make the list as the best places to work in construction directly, but all of the companies represented have a direct effect on some aspects from design to move in.

We not entirely sure why Pro Tool Reviews didn’t wind up at #1, especially considering the results are based on employee feedback. Oh well, maybe next year…

#18 Power Homes Remodeling

  • What They Do: Construction/Remodeling
  • Number of Employees: 2600 employees
  • Glassdoor Rating: 4.5

Power Homes Remodeling has been on Glassdoor’s Top 100 List for the last five years running, as well as the Top 100 CEOs from 2015 to 2019. They even finished in the Top 100 Places to Interview in 2017. Suffice to say that, if you’re a construction-minded person who finds himself in the job pool this year, Power Homes Remodeling has offices set up across the country and is one of the best places to work in construction going into 2020.

Keller Williams has made Glassdoor’s list for the past four years, as well as making the list of Top CEOs for 2018. While KW is a real estate agency based out of Austin, TX, they are, “writers, coaches, developers, designers, accountants, filmmakers, planners, lawyers, and philanthropists.” They sell real estate, but they look at their company as more than just realtors.

As the world continues to develop more ways to spend money without visiting brick and mortar businesses, it’s no surprise to see the real estate market follow the trend. While this company is well known for what they sell, their employees will tell you that the company also takes pride in recognizing employee talents and equipping personnel with the tools to reach their full potential.

If you’re looking for one of the best places to work in construction on the materials sales side, ABC is a family-friendly organization that receives very high praise for the way they treat their employees.
